The LOGIK Centre’s purpose is to support the University’s ambition to engage all staff in the strategy and values of the University by encouraging them to embrace and enjoy learning. The functional areas we fall into are Human Resources and customer service predominantly and our main objective is to provide a good service to our customers by helping staff with their personal and professional development to produce world class staff at all levels within the organisation and to secure the centre’s long term future.

Users of the centre describe it as being different to the rest of the University it is informal, relaxing and a safe environment to express one’s self. They say that they feel they own the centre and that their input is valued and acted upon.

Our users expect a warm welcome when they come to the LOGIK Centre. They come for information advice and guidance as well as help, support and relaxation.

Centre users are encouraged to participate in new activities and try new courses in a safe and informal atmosphere which helps them to meet new people with similar interests.
